Our Story

Tuwuh is Javanese for "to grow" — and that is exactly what we believe a good cup of coffee does. It grows something in you: a little curiosity, a longer conversation, a new appreciation for what Indonesian coffee can be. We are a small specialty coffee project from Yogyakarta, and we would love to grow with you.

Beyond Bitterness

Most of us grew up believing coffee has exactly one flavor: bitter. Here is the thing we can't stop telling people — coffee can taste sweet and bright without a single spoon of sugar. That flavor is not added; it comes straight from the bean. Where the coffee was grown, the variety of the plant, how the cherries were processed — natural, washed, or honey — and how the beans were roasted all end up in your cup as notes of fruit, caramel, or flowers, with a gentle brightness like biting into a ripe apple.

Our mission is to introduce that experience to more people. Not with jargon or gatekeeping — just with a well-brewed cup and a simple question: can you taste the difference?

Why V60

Of every way to brew coffee, the V60 pour-over is our specialty. A paper filter and a slow, patient pour give you a remarkably clean cup — all clarity, letting the character of the bean speak for itself. And the brewing is a quiet ritual we never get tired of: the bloom, the spiral pour, the wait.

We serve V60 at our open table events — follow @fhanadis on Instagram for the schedule, pull up a chair, and let us brew one for you.

Cold Brew, Every Day

If V60 is the destination, cold brew is the easiest way in. Steeped slowly and served cold, it is smooth, naturally sweet, and low in acidity — a coffee you can grab, shake, and enjoy anywhere, any day.

Start with a bottle. When you get curious about where those flavors come from, our open table is waiting.
